Thoughts lie with those receiving cancer treatments

In response to the disturbing situation in Ukraine, Europa Uomo has expressed its deep concern for the safety of all citizens in the country, and drawn attention to the specific needs of those with cancer who need continuing care and support.

“Conflict never leads to sustainable solutions,” said Europa Uomo Chairman Andre Déschamps, “and we hope that the terrible human suffering in Ukraine can be brought to an end soon.”

“As an organisation for men with prostate cancer, our thoughts and concerns particularly lie with those who are or were receiving treatment, and the help and support they need at the moment. We call on health care systems in neighbouring countries, or countries receiving refugees, to resume the necessary care.”

Europa Uomo is contacting its member organisations in countries close to Ukraine to assess the situation.
