Europa Uomo’s fourth seminar open to all

A new Europa Uomo webinar will examine what men and their families really need to know about active surveillance for prostate, based on the expertise of patients and specialists.

The online roundtable event follows up on Europa Uomo’s three successful earlier events on active surveillance, which gathered messages based on evidence and experience. This new webinar, which will be held in English, is open to everyone whether they attended earlier events or not.

It will be led by Europa Uomo Board members Cosimo Pieri and Tania Estapé and will include video contributions from Hein Van Poppel, Monique Roobol, Riccardo Valdagni, Lara Bellardita and Chris Bangma.

Discussion will focus on the following questions:

  • How does early diagnosis provide better quality of life and when is it possible to choose an active surveillance strategy?
  • How and when was active surveillance developed and what is the scientific evidence behind it?
  • How can local patient organisations support patients under active surveillance?
  • What are the psychological aspects?

The event will be held between 5.45 and 6.45pm (CET) on Tuesday 29th March. To join, please follow the Zoom link below:
