General Assembly held in Leusden, the Netherlands
The new Chairman of Europa Uomo, Guenter Carl, has declared his determination to build on the legacy of outgoing Chairman André Deschamps and maintain the influence of Europa Uomo on improving early detection of prostate cancer throughout Europe.
Speaking after the Europa Uomo General Assembly in Leusden, the Netherlands, where the new Board was elected, Guenter Carl thanked Europa Uomo members for extending trust in the new team.
“After seven years of hard and excellent work under André Deschamps we have an experienced team of Board members, and we can aim for main targets such as gathering and communicating all the data from our EUPROMS studies and raising awareness of early detection, reducing the burden of metastasis and death.”
“We also want to provide more information to patients about active surveillance and assist our members in the Eastern countries in creating public awareness.”

Next year’s Europa Uomo General Assembly will be held in Cyprus on 25th-28th May 2023.
