Building a model for screening
This work, coordinated by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, is now completed.
It has developed a multi-step, risk stratified model for screening. Risk stratification is a technique to categorise patients based on their health status and other factors. It helps to prevent over-treatment and it can be adjusted to different needs and resources depending on the setting.
You can read about the screening model that has been developed in this European Urology Open Science article published in December 2024.
The model is summarised in the diagram below (click to enlarge).
